Reseph doesn't remember that he was Pestilence, he doesn't remember much other than his name. His memories were taken from him and he was put back on earth in the hopes that he would heal. His mind just can't cope with what he did after Pestilence took over, so his memories were taken away.

Jillian lives alone and isn't expecting to find a naked, unconscious man in the snow but that's exactly what she finds. After getting him home and in her bed, all she can do is keep him warm and wait for him to wake up. Jillian is wary that she might have brought a bad man home with her. After being attacked by demons, she's had her guard up but she couldn't just let this stranger die in the snow.

I've been reading and loving the Lords of Deliverance books. Also known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, they aren't all evil but they have demons riding with them and if their seals are broken they pretty much become the demon they are harboring. Reseph's seal broke and Pestilence was set free to wreak havok, killing many many people in the process. But Reseph is back and Pestilence is back in the cage so to speak. Pestilence did so much damage and Reseph's family is afraid that he won't be able to contain him so they aren't as welcoming as they could have been when they find out he's not in hell.

This series is a favorite of mine, there were times in this book that I actually had to put it down and say outloud, "What are you thinking! Don't do that!" But it worked out in a way that I didn't think it would or even could.

The chemistry between Reseph and Jillian is apparent right away. Reseph has a lethal, predatory quality to him even though he doesn't remember who he is and he's very protective of Jillian. I liked this couple very much and am glad that Reseph gets a second chance after all he did as Pestilence.

If you've been reading The Lords Of Deliverance series, this is a book you just can't miss. If you haven't read this series, I would suggest you start it from the beginning otherwise you'll miss too much of the back story.

Just finished reading "Rogue Rider" by Larissa Ione. It is the final book about the 4 Horsemen of the Apocolypse. Excellent end 2 the series about the Reseph who was Pestilence & now has amnesia & is found by a woman who barely survived a demon attack. Is her love strong enough for him 2 defeat the demon side of himself? He is 1/2 demon (his mother is a succubus) 1/2 angel (his father is battle angel) can he deal w/the guilt of all the plagues he spread & all the people he's hurt including his family (the other 3 Horseman) while the demon Pestilence was in control for over a year? You get the stories in the previous books about the other 3 Horsemen. I love her whole Demonica series but these books are separate but linked would recommend reading the first book "Pleasure Unbound" in the Demonica series before reading the Lords of Deliverance series (about the Horseman). They r all linked. Love this series!! Highly recommend!!!
Going into this book I had NO IDEA how Reseph was going to be likable. I mean, he basically tormented the human race as Pestilence, tortured and otherwise messed with the lives of his brothers and sister, and did his level best to really get that apocalypse hopping. FOR THREE BOOKS.

He killed with abandon, got his rocks off on mayheming his way across every continent, and tried to kill his brother's child. This doesn't seem like the type of guy you'd feel particularly sympathetic toward.

And yet... I liked him. As Reseph, mind you. He was a good guy. An easy-going nudist. It's hard for me to dislike a guy who lets it all hang out. Well, that and he was sweet. Kinda horny, too. ALL THINGS I ENJOY!

Not that things were easy for him. With no memory of what he'd done as Pestilence, he can still feel the shadow of evil inside him. And it worries him. He feels a deep attraction to Jillian and he doesn't want to hurt her. Not knowing who he is or what he can do is jarring. Between the demon attacks, demon hunters showing up, Jillian and him steaming up the sheets, and ALL MANNER OF OTHER CRAZINESS, Reseph has a lot on his plate.

Beyond Reseph and Jillian's story we also get a boatload of information about a few secrets that have been floating around as well as catching up with the other Horsemen. Those secrets are juicy, too. They've jazzed me up about reading the next book. ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

Pest is gone but now Reseph is back but his memories are gone of everything Pest did and also his history curtsy of his father/ watcher (the big shocker of this entire book) but Reaver dumps Reseph in the outskirts of a small town where one of the first victims Pest messed up. They are to heal each other but Jillian had a very rough few years after loosing her parents, her cheating/married ex fiancee and being torn up by Soulshredding demons when she was leaving from work. Now isolated in a cabin outside of her small town, while she was out gathering wood she soon finds a very naked, very cold large male and rescuers him form the cold knowing it is a bad thing but helps him into her cabin but in the process has to guard her heart. After trying to get his memory back the which wont happen until he sees something but in the mean time Jillian and Reseph feel their connection starting to bloom, but also some of his memories and Pest is starting to break through the cracks to get out. Now there is a team from DART hanging around and Reseph tries avoiding them but Ky & Arik never expected to find the missing Horseman in their search area. Reaver hope the truth came out different when Ky and Arik found Reseph but now he has to confess his involvement. The memories comes through one day when Jillian screamed when she answered to door to find 3 large people on horseback and one horse was a weird mutation. Now his memories are out and Pest is wreaking havoc in his head and it takes his siblings, watchers and Jillian to get him to calm down but Jillian never expected to be thrown into a family of legendary people.
